Hanmer Springs. A sleepy village with a Spa and Pool, in the middle of lot’s of green. My plan was to get muddy and do a tour on a Quadbike. But fate was against me and there was no offer just the day I was there.
So I decided to climb Mt. Isobel instead, which was, in hindsight, a very good thing to do. I started my tour in ugly fog, which led to me seeing… nothing at all. I was lost in total whiteness, and a little afraid to lose my way … again.
What a wonderful surprise when the fog lifted and the beautiful mountains around her majesty Isobel showed up, revealing a perfect, sunlit panorama. A definite “like”.
And back in Hanmer Springs, what better present is there for oneself than a nice relaxing hot stone massage.
