Frogs, beware! Yes! The storks are back!

Today, on my way to Rheinsteig, a beautiful hiking area along “father” Rhine, I saw a flying beauty, spanning her wings in white and black grace, gliding along the still dormant meadows. I smiled – I hadn’s seen one for so long.

It took a while until I understood the meaning of this sight in it’s entirety: Spring is there!

The storks gave up their winter residence down in Africa and came back home. Funnily, there is a slight chance that I saw the one I saw in Marrakech over New Year again today, flying over a meadow near Frankfurt.
