You never know what’s happening behind your neighbors closed doors. Nor behind their forehead.
Yesterday, I found a graffity which inspired me to think about what we don’t know of people whom we think we know well.
Let’s take, for example, your colleagues at work. Let’s assume you are sitting in a meeting room, in a team discussion, your controller presenting the latest numbers and most of your peers looking bored or doodling away on their note pads.
Are you aware of your controller’s secret? Not only is she a sweet addict, no, she has some other addictions as well which we won’t reveal here as it would be too painful. And there is the hot chick with the long legs, sitting right opposite so that you cannot keep yourself from ogling her once in a while. Did you know that, actually, she used to be a man until she was 21? And there is your boss, this tough guy, who can seldom restrain himself from bullying others? His Newfoundlander sleeps in his bed, hence he had to move to the sofa as there is no space left once the beast starts snoring.
Finally, there is… you. What is your secret, the one you have not told your closest friends so far, and you never will? Shall we talk about that one secret, which is burning under your skin each time you get close to a similar situation than that many years back, when you got…. STOP! We won’t reveal that one here. Not yet. Not until you want it least.
But, what if your colleagues already know about it? What if your boss’es assistant, that bitch, has spread some rumors already about it? What if she saw the notes, and overheared the phone call you did last week? What if she knows?
