An ostrich sitting on my window sill (D.I.Y. window decoration)

I’m still not done yet with my new apartment – and it will take a long while until I will be. I’m progressing slowly. Last weekend, I did a little decoration project, inspired by a random discovery.

While searching for some craft supplies, I stumbled over those lovely ostrich down feathers, each of them approximately 30 cm long and very fluffy. So, I did a quick D.I.Y. window decoration project – just fixing the feathers on a nylon thread, then sticking it onto the window frame with adhesive tape. That’s it – done. It is not spectacular, but for sure unusual. And it reminds me to get out of the appartment once in a while – even if not to ride an ostrich, but get out anyway.
