This is the moment of truth, the moment of confession. I’m training for a big race this year. Which means five months of perseverance, five months of getting up early and stumbling into the crisp morning air to put one foot before the other.
And it means rain, rain, and some more rain, rain always and forever. Fluid rain and solid rain. I hate this malicious beast.
Today, I had to endure a hailstorm during my Sunday run, this brought me to the brim of patience. My shoes and socks? Soaked. Hair? Soaked. Tights and sholders? Soaked. Mental state? You guess it – freaking soaked! This is not fair, I want to run in peace!
Rain, hail, snow – just go away and let me alone.
