I’m going to move house. When I look out of my window, I see a little alternative café. The people who run it have mounted a sign reading “Happy Germany Place”.
Yesterday, waiting for a friend to help me build some furniture, I had time to observe what happened down there. It was strange but funny at the same time. The people in the café performed a mixture of laughing therapy and duck’s dance, shaking their buttocks at the rhythm of funny music. In between, they raised their arms to the ceiling, clapped their hands and shouted loud “hoooos” and “haaaas”, followed by an especially violent buttock-shake.
I was wondering what they were up to. Then I noticed that the session was over as fast as it had begun, around 8 p.m. they were done.
I didn`t find out what those people were doing and why, but it did not matter, anyway. They seemed to be in the flow. They were living the motto of the cafe: Happiness is now.
