From Picton, it’s a hop on a water taxi only to cruise the beautiful Queen Charlotte sound. One of the wonderful hiking trails run along it’s coast (named Queen Charlotte Track – who would have guessed?) It is one of those places where you can easily get lost, either doing the entire track over a couple of days or just doing a bit of it in just a day. I only got a glimpse of this beauty, and I realized that the woman lending her name to the place must have been a beauty for sure if there was any resemblance.
