Heyyyy, at least I did not totally fail at day 2.

I’m happy to announce that I wrote 1446 new words today. That is not what is required on average per day (86,74% of it, approximately), but I have an excuse.

This below-required-average number is due to the fact that I visited a lovely friend today who baked some heavenly treat for me. It is a danish specialty with a name I keep forgetting – something like “Apfelschlüpfer”. The Germans amongst you might have a mental picture now – which in any case does not make sense, because the stuff was much better than anything having such a funny name could ever be.

Aaaah, after some googling, I found the proper name of it. Funnily, a post in a food-blog called it the “defeat of the Dutch”, understandably. A direct comparison is still to be done, but at least now we know the name of the combatants:

Poffertjes against Aebleskiver (or Æbleskiver in proper Danish).

(By the way, here is the link to the blog where I found it: http://insimoneskitchen.com/aebleskiver-danish-pancakes-defeat-dutch/)

And, now that I have survived day 2, I will claim the following for me:

Let’s see what happens tomorrow (first working day in November).

Stay tuned.
