Uh, it is time for an update from the place where money is made.
Some observations:
It tells me that it is spring! But how come…? When going to work in the morning, this used to be my welcome scene: the sculpture of a golden ball with leafs, shining against the twilight morning sky, in a crisp, cool, fresh morning air.
This sight is now gone, because there is no twilight anymore, there is no shining of golden leafs. So while it is a pity to not have that sight anymore, this has a much bigger message: The light is coming back; spring is close.
It tells me that you can combine your passion with your work. Look at those guys who are cleaning the inside windows of the open space between north and south tower. I guess they are passionate free climbers in their spare time, and here, they earn money by doing exactly that (well, sort of).
It tells me that… what? I don’t know, really. I found those things on my way to the coffee machine on the 15th floor, and wondered what the hidden symbolism might be. The value of the Euro will fall to 25%? The European Union is going to split in buckets of separate countries, 4 per bucket? Or is it art I just don’t understand? I kept wondering for a while. Then, I went to the coffee machine a couple of days later with my colleague who is 1,97 m tall. He had an immediate explanation. Very profane, indeed. This is to warn the tall people to not bump their heads on the staircase… Gosh, life can be so easy.
It tells me that beauty can be in the distance. Or what do you think?
